Editorial Assistant

£competitive + benefits

Central London

Permanent

This is a great time to join our team as we launch a ground-breaking new product:  BMJ Best Practice – an online information resource used by Doctors and Healthcare professionals worldwide. As the primary link between the Editorial and Production departments, you’ll ensure that manuscripts are submitted on time and in the correct format. That means assessing new submissions and assisting Clinical Editors in preparation of manuscripts for publication. You will also work closely with the Commissioning Editor to help identify and invite new authors.

An experienced editorial or production assistant with good IT skills, you’ll be organised, able to work to tight deadlines and comfortable liaising with a wide range of people, including doctors, professors and world experts. Ideally, your experience will be underpinned by a life science degree and some medical knowledge.
