Technical specifications and restrictions
Restrictions applying to Flash based advertising
- Maximum animation length: 15 seconds (including up to three loops)
- Alt text 'Brought to you by <Company Name>'
- Files must be supplied in Flash 5, 6 or 7 plug-in formats
- The Flash clickTAG instructions*must be used to control user click-through
- User-initiated audio only - banner must contain clearly visible "audio / on off" buttons
- All creatives must be designed with a solid background colour to avoid unwanted colour conflicts with the displaying page
- A default GIF will be served to browsers that do not have a compatible Flash Plug-In. Backup gifs must be submitted together with original FLA files and non-standard fonts (if applicable)
*Flash clickTAG Variable Instructions:
- For Flash creative to work properly within RealMedia, clients must insert a clickTAG variable into the .fla file so that clicks can be properly counted. We can accommodate up to six separate click zones per creative, starting with clickTAG (default) then clickTAG1 through clickTAG5 for five additional click zone options per banner
- Add an invisible button to the top layer and present over the surface of your creative
- Add the following clickTAG to the button you've created - on (release) {getURL(clickTAG, "_blank");}
