BMJ Masterclasses
BMJ Masterclasses help busy GPs and hospital doctors to use the latest evidence and new guidelines in practice and meet their CPD/ CME requirements. These one or two day educational events give delegates essential updates on important advances and current issues that are most relevant to their daily practice. Using case studies, practical demonstrations and interactive technology, speakers highlight take home messages, creating better learning outcomes for clinicians and their practice. Since launch in 2006, more than 13,000 GPs have attended a BMJ Masterclass.
BMJ Masterclasses delegates can:
- Prepare for appraisal and get fit for revalidation
- Stay up to date with the latest evidence and recent developments in their key specialty
- Equip themselves with the tools to manage and approach patients from a new perspective
- Share best practice and learn how to make it work within their multidisciplinary team
- Interact with their peers and the experts
There are three types of BMJ Masterclasses:
- GP series
General Updates – this popular series provides evidence-based updates on a wide range of topics from cardiology
to paediatrics over two days, ideal for busy GPs and their revalidation needs
GP Specialty Updates – one day events aimed at giving GPs a more comprehensive update in specific therapeutic areas such as respiratory medicine, women’s health, cardiology, dermatology, chronic kidney disease and ophthalmology - Physician series – one day events aimed at giving physicians the most up-to-date information to help them in their continuing professional development. All the seminars are RCP accredited. Delegates can earn up to six CPD points per event
- Management series – back by popular demand, these one day events guide clinicians in day to day management and leadership issues. Topics include Improving Quality of your Practice and GP Commissioning
