The BMJ is looking for an editorial intern for 12 months. The function of the post is to support editorial staff and will include a range of editorial and administrative functions, from tagging and quality assurance of edited files, to routine compiling of reports, agendas, and minutes and organising attendance at meetings to and helping editors to research subjects and source data from the internet and elsewhere. The job would suit a recent graduate interested in a job in publishing.
The Person
The ideal candidate would have a degree (ideally but not essentially in publishing), would be willing to do a variety of tasks, some of them rather basic but some of them demanding initiative and engagement, and be able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, good organisational skills, and an ability to work fast.
