An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager to join the BMJ Learning and Quality division, working on our new Quality Improvement Services.
The first BMJ quality improvement programme will launch for junior doctors imminently with a monthly rollout plan for further audiences and markets planned over the next 12-18 months, including UK primary care in September. A marketing product manager is required to plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns to successfully launch and then drive ongoing sales and usage of the programmes to individual subscribers and organisations, as well as build the BMJ Quality Improvement brand locally and internationally.
The role
Reporting to the Head Marketing and Business Development for the BMJ Learning and Quality division you will:

Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy and marketing plans for BMJ Quality Improvement and its individual programmes , initially for the UK junior doctor and primary care markets and then rolling out to new market segments potentially on a monthly basis

Implement email, web and print marketing campaigns to drive personal subscription sales and take on overall responsibility for individual sales lines

Work with the commercial teams to drive organisational sales through lead generation, creation of sales materials and usage campaigns and training

Conduct market research and testing to support and inform the launch of new products, messaging and pricing

Measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting on sales and usage

Manage the promotional budget for the BMJ Quality Improvement products

Implement consistent branding across the BMJ Quality Improvement portfolio

Optimise cross promotional opportunities within the BMJ Group

Organise contra deals or attend conferences as appropriate

Monitor and report on competitor activity, and ensure positioning and USPs of Quality product's are understood and accurately communicated
The person
You will have proven experience in marketing online products and experience within a healthcare setting would be preferred . You will have an excellent track record of online marketing and ideally have worked on marketing products that generate income from both individual and organisational subscriptions.
Strong analytical skills are essential as is experience of writing business cases and conducting market research. You will preferably be a holder of or working towards the CIM Diploma or equivalent. You will have proven skills on a number of successful and imaginative offline and online campaigns and have developed and implemented marketing strategy for new product streams. You will have outstanding communication and copywriting skills and have the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
