The BMJ Evidence Centre aims to build clinical and health economic evidence into practice to support improvements in the quality of healthcare. Working closely with the Head of the Clinical Decision Support business unit and the Evidence Centre Head of Business Development, you’ll be an experienced bid manager, responsible for actively pursuing tender opportunities to grow our business. You will be responsible for developing existing Action Sets and Clinical Evidence business to achieve profitable growth and financial success. As well as preparing business cases, customer proposals and supporting product life cycle planning, you’ll take responsibility for key accounts. The role will involve working closely with our sales and marketing teams and keeping abreast of competitor activity.
A graduate or equivalent with ideally an MBA or other business qualification, your track record at senior level within publishing or healthcare will demonstrate the ability to grow a multi-media product and service portfolio. Experience of developing business cases and managing tender bids will be complemented by a flair for business planning and analysis, strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex business and financial information.
