We are looking for an experienced writer and editor to work with the BMJ’s consumer health service, within the BMJ Evidence Centre. The primary focus of the role is to work on our Patient Decision Aids project. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reading and appraising clinical research papers, and taking decisions about how they should be used
- Writing and editing exceptionally high quality, evidence-based decision aids for patients on a wide range of clinical conditions
- Liaising with clinical advisors and clients for the Patient Decision Aids project.
You will have extensive experience of writing and editing health information for a lay audience. The post requires excellent written communication skills, and you will be experienced at reading and interpreting original clinical research papers. A science degree will be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to work full-time in our London office.
