BMJ Learning is looking for a digital content editor. You'll report to the website editor and be responsible for editing and curating content on http://learning.bmj.com.
There will be two main strands to your job. The first involves copy editing educational modules aimed at health professionals. As well as editing text you'll work with our multimedia team to upload video and audio content. You'll be using our content management system to publish modules and add metadata like tags and subscription data.
The second strand involves working on the front end of our web site. You'll be updating it and keeping it fresh, and looking for attractive ways to curate our content. You'll also be setting up customised sections of the site for our institutional customers.
You'll also support our marketing team in the preparation of user guides, brochures and similar content, making sure we have a consistent style across all our material.
You'll be educated to degree level, and will be used to editing digital content to a style guide. You'll be highly computer literate, able to learn new software, familiar with XML, and happy troubleshooting technical issues. You will have excellent copy editing and proof reading skills.
