India Editor
Competitive salary
Mumbai or New Delhi
The BMJ, one of the world’s leading medical journals, is seeking an experienced medical editor to lead its activities in South Asia. The India Editor will guide the development of content on bmj.com for South Asian doctors, commissioning and editing new content and selecting the most relevant of our existing output.
The role will be based in India, ideally in Mumbai or New Delhi, and will involve travel both to the UK and across South Asia. A key part of the role will be reaching out to researchers on behalf of BMJ and BMJ Open and giving presentations, so being a confident public speaker is essential.
This is an important new full-time post. The doctor who fills it will have a strong interest in research as well as recent experience of clinical practice and handling submitted and commissioned articles for a medical journal. The role also involves blogging, tweeting and seeding discussions on our community website doc2doc. A competitive package is offered.
