An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BMJ Marketing Assistant to work in the Journals division.
The role
• Assisting the BMJ Product Manager to deliver the BMJ marketing strategy and Student BMJ strategy
• Sending regular email campaigns for BMJ and Student BMJ – including measurement and reporting of results
• Utilising social media for marketing opportunities
• Design of promotional material including leaflets and advertisement
• Placement of filler ads for BMJ
• Conference organisation – coordination of BMJ conferences and media partnerships and occasional attendance of UK or International conferences
• Compiling monthly marketing report
• Copy writing for marketing collateral
• Keeping up to date with competitors
• Budget tracking for BMJ promotional budgets
• Attending occasional meetings
The person
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a marketing department, and studying towards a marketing qualification. The role requires somebody who has excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills and with an interest in digital and social media. The ideal candidate will have copy writing and design experience and the ability to deal with all levels of staff and customers. The role requires somebody who is IT literate both with using email software and social media.
