Annual leave - Grade 5-8 positions are entitled to 25 days’ annual leave, rising to 27 days after five years and 30 days after 10 years.

- Grade 1- 4 positions receive 30 days’ annual leave from the first day of employment.
BMA Day Enjoy an extra day’s holiday over the Christmas period.
Additional holiday ‘Buy’ up to five additional days’ holiday a year.
Wedding/Civil Partnership leave Celebrate your special day with up to two extra days’ paid leave (on completion of your probationary period).
Moving days Relieve some of the stress of moving house with two extra days’ paid leave (on completion of your probationary period).
Sabbaticals Employees with five years’ continuous service can request up to six months’ unpaid sabbatical leave. This rises to 12 months after 10 years’ continuous service.
Childcare Vouchers Part of your salary can be exchanged for Childcare Vouchers as part of our Busy Bees Scheme. The vouchers are exempt from tax and NI contributions up to a limit of £55 per week or £243 per month.
Season ticket loan Bring down the cost of commuting with an interest-free season ticket loan, up to a maximum of £4,999 each year (available after three months’ employment).
Subsidised restaurant There is a subsidised staff restaurant and a subsidised café at BMA House that can both be used by staff
BMA membership Qualified doctors are entitled to free BMA membership.
Eye vouchers Employees are entitled to claim for eye tests, as well as a contribution towards spectacles.
Occupational Health Enjoy free access to occupational health advice from Norwich Union.
Counselling service Our free 24-hour counselling helpline offering support to all employees.
Discounted gym membership Negotiated corporate rates with a number of different gyms.
Give As You Earn (GAYE) Employees can make tax free GAYE donations to the charity of their choice direct from their gross pay before tax.
Conveyancing service Claim a complete property conveyancing service at discounted prices for residential property in the UK.
Financial services Employees are entitled to use BMA Services for fully independent financial advice.
Professional subscriptions Where membership of a professional institution is required for your role, you can reclaim annual subs through expenses.
Secure bike shed and showers There is a secure bike shed at BMA House and showers for staff to use.
Pension We offer a contributory stakeholder pension scheme run by Legal and General.
Death in service Three times your salary paid to a nominated beneficiary (available only to members of the pension scheme).
Retirement planning Advice and support for employees coming up to retirement.
Personal accident policy Provides compensation for accidental death, loss of limb(s), eye(s) and permanent total disablement equating to four times your annual salary.
