Training and Development
We take great pride in nurturing knowledge within the healthcare community, and take the same approach with our own people – ensuring access to learning opportunities that not only assist in your day-to-day role, but help you get to where you want to be.
The first step is identifying your learning and development needs and whilst this is typically done as part of your annual appraisal, development discussions can and often do take place at any point of the year. A chat about your career aspirations and technical or specialist development requirements can then be translated into an action plan for the year.
There are many different ways learning can happen. Many people think of development as a formal training course, but sometimes shadowing, mentoring, coaching, long-term study or attending conferences can achieve much more. It’s all about working out what’s best for you, as well as taking responsibility for your own development to ensure you can meet your full potential.
