Journalist registration

Full access to bmj.com is free for journalists, but you need a password to read any articles under access controls. To do this you must register with the British Medical Association (BMA) press centre.

Here's what you do :

• Fill out the registration form on the BMA website
  
• An ID and password will be sent to you by email
  
• You can then log in and select the subjects on which you would like to receive emailed press releases or tick the box to receive all our press releases.

Shortly after your passwords are sent to you for the BMA press centre, another email will be sent to you with your BMJ press passwords which means that you can access the articles on the bmj.com.
