Athens
Athens Access Management System (AMS) controls access to web-based subscription services. All providers of electronic content to NHS England organisations are required to integrate Athens into their service in order to allow access by their users.

COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources) provides a electronic gateway through which librarians can compare usage statistics; derive useful metrics such as cost-per-use; make better-informed purchasing decisions, and plan infrastructure more effectively.
Highwire Press
Highwire Press is a division of the Stanford University Libraries which hosts the largest repository of high impact, peer-reviewed content. It has over 1068 journals and 4,528,524 full text articles from over 130 scholarly publishers. HighWire-hosted publishers have collectively made over 1.8 million free article and, with its partner publishers, produces 71 of the 200 most-frequently-cited journals.
HINARI
The HINARI program was set up by WHO together with major publishers to enable developing countries to gain access to one of the world's largest collections of biomedical and health literature. Over 3750 journal titles are now available to health institutions in 113 countries, benefiting many thousands of health workers and researchers, and in turn, contributing to improved world health.
Pub Med
PubMed is a service of the U.S National Library of Medicine that includes over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.
