Print subscribers can access all abstracts, all the articles in the back archive* plus selected online features.
For full text access to articles that are 12 months old or less require an online subscription; see the information below on purchasing institutional site licences.
* Articles older than 12 months, back to volume 1, issue 1 (where available).
Online only and joint print & online subscriptions
BMJ Journals institutional online access pricing is based on the number of relevant Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) at each site.
Definition of relevant FTEs:
- Academic Institutions: Total number of medical faculty (academic staff and students) and researchers
- Hospitals: Total number of clinicians, pharmacists and researchers (excluding nurses)
- Corporate institutions: Total number of researchers and medical information employees
- Government institutions, regulatory agencies, medical societies and all others: Total number of professionally qualified staff
FTE tiers:
- Small 1 - 400
- Medium 401 - 1500
- Large 1501 - 3000
- 3001+ prices on application
What's new for BMJ journals
- We are happy to activate online subscriptions for customers on request. On activation we will issue you with a newly created username and password which enables you to access the account administrator sections of the journal websites. - We are continuing to digitise the back archives for ALL the BMJ Journals. Published back archives include: Journal of Clinical Pathology, Molecular Pathology, Annals of Rheumatic Diseases
