Breaking News - BMJ selected in the top 10 most influential journals of the last 100 years in medicine and biology

The Specialists Library Association, SLA, a professional organisation of subject specialist librarians, information managers, and  publishing industry representatives, selected the 100 most influential biological and medical journals for its 100th anniversary meeting.  BMJ, along with NEJM, JAMA and Lancet, were among those selected and BMJ made it into the top 10 list.

Evidence in Practice newsletter

This month, we are pleased to announce the expansion in scope of our Evidence in Practice newsletter, which now represents all the activities of the BMJ Evidence Centre. Issue 4 has just published, and includes an editorial by Dr Klara Brunnhuber, explaining how and why we work to build evidence into practice, and an interview with  Professor Paul Garner, an expert in infectious diseases. Check out the online edition now.

New impact factors announced

BMJ has increased its Impact Factor to 12.287 from 9.723 whilst our specialty titles such as Annals of Rheumatic Disease has increased its impact factor to 7.188 now making it the number 1 rheumatology journal, and Tobaccoo Control has increased its impact factor to 4.468 overtaking the leading US journal in this field.
