Technical Specifications
(Contract+) Server
- Any version of Unix (not Xenix) or 32-bit Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000)
- Minimum 16Mb RAM (Recommended 64Mb)
- Minimum 30Mb disk (Recommended 100Mb+ depending on size of practice)
- Minimum 486 class processor (Recommended Pentium class 200MHz+)
Clients
- Any version of 32-bit Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000)
- Minimum 16Mb RAM (Recommended 32Mb+ for Win95/98, 64Mb+ for Win ME/NT/2000)
- No disk space required for full server installation, ~2Mb disk space required for local installation
- Minimum 486 class processor (Recommended Pentium class 133MHz+)
Network
- Windows-based (i.e. Windows Networking)
- All users must log in to the network before using Windows for security
- Any transport (Ethernet recommended)
- TCP/IP, NetBEUI or IPX/SPX protocols all compatible (TCP/IP recommended)
- Any speed (100Mbps recommended)
In essence, any existing network cabling that allows any Windows machine to communicate with a server (Unix or Windows) will work fine.
