GP practices will need to be more responsible for their drug budgets to their consortia and Medicines Management enables practices to optimise their drugs budgets by allowing PCT/consortia to define drug switch opportunities. Practices can review opportunities by patient or opportunity and can confirm switch. Value of switch opportunities can also be calculated at practice and PCT/consortia level.
